FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Do you offer custom tours?
    • Absolutely! Get in touch with us and we’ll plan a custom itinerary to any places you’d like to visit.
  • Do you offer tours for big groups/wedding parties?
    • Yes! We love working with big groups. We offer special pricing and have plenty of vehicles to accommodate your group.
  • What is your cancellation policy?
    • You may cancel your tour with up to a week in advance for a full refund. If you cancel your tour with less than a week in advance there is no refund of deposit.
  • Can I pay my balance with a credit card or through PayPal?
    • Cash is preferred, but yes, you can pay your balance with a CC or through PayPal however, those methods have a +6% transaction fee.
  • Are the tours suitable for all ages?
    • Because our tours are private we can be as flexible as you need us to be with timing and pacing, however, we don’t recommend the tours for very small children under 6 years of age. Furthermore, some tours require considerable walking on uneven ground, so a level of physical ability is required.
  • Are the tours suitable for people with disabilities?
    • That will depend on the level and type of disability. Get in touch with us and we can discuss what is probably best on a case by case basis.
  • What should I bring with me on the tour?
    • Light comfortable clothing, comfortable walking shoes/sneakers (or hiking boots to our full day tours), a hat, sunglasses, sunblock, and a camera (unless you’d like to hire our photographer in advance).
  • Are tours cancelled due to bad weather?
    • Mostly, no. Unless there’s a storm or hurricane warning, tours go on as planned. We provide umbrellas in case of rain.
  • What does the price include?
    • Price includes transportation from and back to San Miguel de Allende, all entrance fees, unlimited cold purified water, a snack, full lunch (on most tours) and your own private guide who will accompany you in the van and at the sites. Price does not include tips for your guide and driver.
  • Where do we meet for pick up?
    • We’ll pick you up (and drop you off) right at your hotel/house/rental. Just please let us know the exact address and if you can provide a map and/or a photo of the outside that would be fantastic.
  • Is the van air conditioned/insured?
    • Yes! All our vehicles are air conditioned and the passengers are insured while in the van.
  • Are the itineraries flexible?
    • Yes, because the tours are private we can take things at your pace. Just let your guide know if you’d like to stay longer at a place or cut things short, or if you’d like to make an unscheduled stop somewhere along the way and we’ll be happy to accommodate you.
  • Are there food options for vegetarians?
    • Yes, but do let us know in advance so we can plan ahead.
